South Pasadena in the Rose Parade 2018

The South Pasadena Rose Parade Float waiting on Orange Grove for the big moment!

Happy New Year everyone! Wanted to share some photos of the South Pasadena float in this year’s Rose Parade.

Once again the Tournament of Roses presented an unparalleled parade in Pasadena to bring in the New Year for the whole world! First off – here’s a shout out to my family who slept over night on the parade route to get us some perfect seats for the parade. Although I woke up at about 4:45 am to make my way to the parade route – I was welcomed by hot coffee and doughnuts in our awesome saved seats on Orange Grove.

You really have to see the TV coverage to understand the enormity of the undertaking that is the Rose Parade. January 1, 2018 was the 129th Tournament of Roses Parade – and the amount of planning and coordination required is truly vast.

Here are a few photos I snapped from just past Del Mar on Orange Grove Boulevard while viewing the event this morning. Enjoy!
